Start with the fundamentals

The quickest grounding is a plain English explanation of the model, what it costs, and how it differs from the alternatives. The CIPD is the most credible UK starting point

For independent, UK-focused guidance on employment and international working, the CIPD is the professional body to follow. It is the chartered institute for HR and people development, and its research, factsheets and employment law coverage are widely treated as the benchmark in the UK. UK conferences worth putting in the diary

Four events cover the EOR conversation well, and two of them fall in the next few months.

The UK’s tech-focused HR event. Useful if you want to see how global payroll and hiring platforms actually work before you commit to anything.

The CIPD’s second major event leans towards the future of work, which is where remote and cross-border hiring gets the most airtime.
